WAY BACK HOME is a 2011 Filipino family drama film starring Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes. The film was produced and distributed by Star Cinema and premiered domestically in the Philippines on August 17, 2011. The film follows the story of two sisters, Ana Bartolome (Kathryn Bernardo) and Jessica Santiago (Julia Montes), who have been separated for twelve years and grew up in two totally different worlds.

WAY BACK HOME PLOT/SYNOPSIS

Way Back Home is a story of two sisters, Jessica (Julia) and Ana (Kathryn), whose lives are separated for 12 years. Jessica suffers the loss of her younger sister and tries to fill in her parents’ longing for Ana, until ... fate makes their paths cross again. Ana has no idea that she’s an adopted child. She lives in a remote fishing village but manages to keep up with the humble life she has been living. Jessica and Ana gets to meet again in a swimming competition and from there, their parents try to get back their long-lost child.

The family is able to bring Ana back to their lives but this starts the conflict between the two sisters. Jessica suddenly feels pushed aside upon Ana’s return and claims that her younger is stealing everything from her.
